the projected return, autumn 2021

A bit premature to put up the proposed return but given the shortage of shipping from Finistère in the final months of Autumn 2021 we have had to secure our space on that last boat out of Roscoff on the last day of October. And as the night crossings will have already stopped by then we also have to use a hotel prior to departure because the ship sails at 0945 and one has to form an orderly queue as early as 0745. We'll still have a cabin, mind.

So one might as well propose the way back… mostly very familiar – but another attempt to explore Sarlat-le-Canéda, so cruelly rained off in 2019…  I didn't even manage to take a single snap when we almost drowned there in 2020…

It may all change, of course …

…as it already has: here is version two… deleting La Rochelle in favour of a stop over in Les-Sables-d'Olonne, but this time west of the river, in the community known as La Chaume… The hotel is booked! On the other side, behind that castle like structure, a lighthouse in its own right (the image at the foot of this note-it post).
