outward & return 2024

Start this post with a view: that's 'the moor' skulking behind some morning stratus. Nice but damp. We've had a bit more of the wet stuff than we feel is good for us…

WE'VE BEEN DOING A MODICUM of projecting for nipping off to Sabbers, 2024: this is what we have in mind, starting in La France on April Fool's Day. Outward (see below this text). No one is travelling out with us this time so I've stuck this up as a post mostly for my benefit, should I decide to add in a commentary, later on. Might do. Might not. And this time, a Return, when we anticipate conveying the son-and-heir back to the Blighted Isle, if he makes his planned visit to Vaucluse via the agency of Train-Grande-Vitesse.

It has been a wet winter, rather much precipitation, although no snow has graced the lawns at Bullsmead Towers* – so we are hoping for dryer, milder and above all brighter interludes as we proceed from  Roscoff via overnights at La Rochelle, Condom, Millau – and thence to 1-rue FB… Whilst in residence we shall also be offering hospitality to 'Wenders' who plans a flying visit via train (and Paris) at the fag end of April/the dawning of the month of May… Otherwise our time is our own, and for me will be in startling new colour avec mind blowing acuity, now that I can see so much clearer what's occurring…

There have been further losses to the community in Sablet – the Danes have sold, (I could weep) but more on that anon… probably…

*update: no snow this winter at Bullsmead Towers? That was a hostage to fortune… this is the view I behold this morning prior to the weekend departure… merde.
